It is targeted at identifying the
Vulnerable subject, in order t, in order to reduce mortality and morbidity caused by
major cardiac events: myocardial infarction, sudden death, and by
cerebrovascular ischemic events: ischemic ictus (stroke).
But who is a Vulnerable
subject? This refers to a person who feels completely healthy, totally asymptomatic, and also without the common risk factors for cardiovascular diseases. However, he can also be a person with atherosclerotic lesions that can suddenly provoke a major cardiac event.

know if you are at risk? »
First of all, attempts are made to
identify the presence of any atherosclerotic disease, and the entity of the
lesion is evaluated. Successively, we evaluate the common and uncommon risk
factors in order to prescribe the most efficient primary or secondary prevention
method, or we inform the patient of the need for medical or surgical therapy.
In addition, from the results obtained, we are able to establish the risk of a
major cardiac event within 5 – 10 years with a 2-year negative predictive value
equal to 99%.
Identification of atherosclerotic lesions can be defined as “ATS Tests or
Atherosclerosis Test” and include the calculation of the calcium score index
and the CIMT or carotid intima media thickness. The evaluation of common and
non-common risk factors aimed at providing true cardiovascular disease
prevention, is calculated through an RF TEST.
Our method also permits us to assess the progress of the atherosclerotic disease
over the years and to provide for the most appropriate measures.
